I just rewatched the prequels for the first time since I saw them in theaters as a kid. Definitely not as bad as I expected from all the hate. TBH here Obi-wan could bang literally anyone and I'd still read it, oh my god

BLESS Ewan McGregor, he had to have chemistry with endless green cloth but he managed it! I know he got burned out on Star Wars after those movies (which is so sad considering he was such a fan) but I reeeeally hope they make a standalone Obi-Wan movie of his early years on Tatooine so he can reprise the role.

tbh i would cry of fucking joy if he did that. like honestly he could decide to those movies 20 years from now in his 60s and i would still lust over him.

yesss, our beautiful Scottish Jedi prince <3

the fact that he actually recorded a line of dialogue for The Force Awakens gives me hope - sure, it's only one line, but I'm pretty sure he previously said he'd never do anything Star Wars again so it's proof that he's changed his mind and is open to the franchise again

Yeah, the prequels aren't great movies, but they're also not as terrible as public opinion has built them up to be. I mean, I can see the faults in them, but I still find them enjoyable. They're guilty (or not so guilty) pleasures, compared to some films that are just plain bad.

I love that people are going back and giving them another chance. They had so much expectation built up around them and, lets be honest, certain fans are so aggressively negative about anything that doesn't cater to their specific taste, that the prequels are widely shat on. But that actually helps when you go back for a rewatch - knowing they're not great and having lowered expectations makes them more enjoyable.
