So, how about a time-travel where whoever comes back does so just before/at the very beggining of the Clone wars. Before traveling back, this person decides the priority is Anakin (Chosen one, of course) because in hindsight, everything that made the Jedi Order fall can be traced to the things that made Anakin Skywalker Fall. So saving Anakin = Saving the future.
The problem? Whoever comes back realizes that hindsight is not perfect, and everything regarding Skywalker was done correctly the first time; Anakin Skywalker is a man who is perfectly aware of who he is, what he is, the roles he carries out and the impact he has on the world around him; he has a very deep insight into himself and his strenghts and flaws. In short Anakin is not disturbed but instead is perfectly well adjusted and self-aware (for all that others are not aware of this side of him).
Then, what in fact happened? Because now all the time-traveler's theories have gone out the window and the clock is ticking. How the hell does he/she fix the future, when Skywalker seems likely to fall either-way?
