In Star Wars Legends, Thurlow Harris was a rebel pilot who was tortured by Vader for Luke's name. When Vader got it, he went on a killing spree of all the bounty hunters that were present for Thurlow's torture.
Thurlow is either helped to safety or escapes on his own, but feels awful about revealing Luke as the Death Star pilot, thereby endangering his life. Upon returning to the alliance, Thurlow tells Luke what had happened and admits it's all his fault that Luke's in danger. Luke has to calm Thurlow down and reassure him that he doesn't blame him.
Bonus: —Luke and Thurlow still don't understand why Vader went loco —Jal Te Gniev appears or is mentioned —Luke's mission to Jazbina is featured or mentioned (Thurlow can either return before it took place, or after)
