Luke always fancied Han, and from the beginning his jealousy had been because he wanted Han to like him back and not be distracted by beautiful Leia. He also hoped that Han knew this, as everything seemed so great between them after the Battle of Yavin, and the fact that Han seemed to be stating he didn't like Leia in that way.
But then the first time Han and Leia really start to flirt, Luke is devastated. He realises Han likes Leia, and has probably barely noticed him in that way at all. What makes it worse, is the way Han rubs it in his face that Leia likes him, even though it's intended playfully. All it does is hammer home the fact that Han is growing more and more attracted to Leia every day, and Luke doesn't even feature as a mild crush.
Han and Leia start to worry as Luke pulls away from them, looking more and more depressed as the days go by. Luke tries to fix things, not wanting to lose his friends, and starts seeing a guy. But the SECOND this comes out, Han is all "Why are you seeing him??" "Is this why you don't talk to us anymore??" "What do you like about him so much??" "NO LUKE DON'T GO ON A DATE WITH HIM STAY WITH ME AND LEIA WE'RE MORE FUN" and is generally Mr. Jealous.
Eventually it comes out that Han and Leia are either 1. Very flirty but the feelings are just sort of surface attraction right now with begrudging respect, or 2. literally just best-buds who like to have a battle of wits whenever they feel like it but it just comes out sounding a bit flirtatious, or 3. both are attracted to Luke and are actually fighting over him in a flirty way. Either way, they're not a thing as Luke thinks they pretty much are.
Obviously Han and Luke sort their shit out, with Leia being supportive and loving.
