Haunted by visions of his wife's death in childbirth, Anakin resolves to save her life...by making sure she gets the best damn healthcare in the galaxy. He hunts down the finest obstetricians, reads up on all the things that can go wrong during pregnancy, gets certified as a midwife, and nearly nags poor Padme to death about visiting the doctor/getting lots of rest/etc.

Padme appreciates the sentiment, but her pregnancy is going very well and Anakin is smothering her with all this attention.
