Announcement: I have long neglected my modly duties, because I have been both way busier than I thought I would be (the shock of young adulthood amirite?), and y'know just me being a mess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . If anyone is inclined to help me mod, or at least categorize prompts on pinboard, please message swkm-mod @ tumblr. If you don't have a tumblr, still message me but on anon, and we will find another way to communicate.

Also, I have received a request for a prompt freeze. I'm thinking that might be a good idea, but I would like to get your opinion. Let me know what you think here.

AU: Luke (ANH era) had been found by Vader a year or so ago and he's been living with Vader ever since. Luke, still having been raised by the Lars', rejected his father trying to train him in the ways of the Darkside.

Vader finds Luke infuriatingly stubborn, but loves him very much (and has been having a lot of doubts about turning him). He's also prone to spoiling him quite a bit so Luke basically has free rein over the ship and can go where ever he wants and gets most of what he asks for.

However Vader gets concerned because Luke starts to act more withdrawn and when he tries to find out why this is he finds out Luke is lonely.

So.... he proceeds to start trying to fix him up with storm troopers/other people on the Death Star he thinks meet enough requirements for dating his son (though, to him, of course none of them were really worthy but he'll deal with what he has).

Luke however doesn't seem interested in them and has started to get a bit annoyed at these guys hitting on him (he knows Vader has something to do with it).

Vader continues to be concerned until one day they capture The Millennium Falcon and Han and Chewy are taken into custody.

Luke happens to be there as they're being detained and well... finds Han very attractive. He stops the guards from taking them to cells so he can talk to Han a bit.

Vader shows up because he's gotten word that his son is somehow preventing the troopers from doing their job again and wants to see what the hold up is.

He quickly sees that his son seems to be enthralled with Han.

So, while he's very reluctant to do so, he doesn't lock Han and Chewy up and sets up rooms for them (because it's the happiest he's seen Luke in a while).

"An entire space station full of people and he chooses a smuggler."

"... and he's 10 years older ... This is my fault isn't it? I haven't given him enough attention. ...wait, Owen was his father figure when he was a child.... This is Owen's fault."

Meanwhile, Han is.. confused. Why are they not rotting in cells? Or dead? Or being tortured? Who is the cute boy that was hitting on him?

Han/Luke eventually happens.

TL;DR: Vader found Luke and has been raising him on the Death star for a year. Seeing that Luke's lonely Vader tried to set him up with guys, but Luke only has eyes for a certain captured smuggler

(This is my first Star Wars piece so I hope you enjoy)

The air was a bitter dry cold. Not bone chilling, just the right temperature that the troopers and imperial workers were comfortable, which left Luke freezing. He missed the duel suns of Tatooine. He missed the subtle shift of sand beneith his feet, the warmth of the heat reflecting off the ground. Imperial cruisers were so sterile, so immovable, so solid and cold.

He had gotten used to it over the years. He was about ten when Darth Vader came to his home. When those storm trooper held uncle Owen and Aunt Beru back as he dragged him away. He had been so scared, scared of what the imperials wanted with him, what they did to his family. Even when Darth Vader explained who he was. His father. And what he was. One with the force.

He cried for weeks, begged to go back, tugged at that damnable black cape and sobbed. But a gentle gloved hand on his head and a rasp through a mask, saying "it will get better, my son" was all he got.

For his credit, Vader was kind to Luke. Gave him whatever he wanted so long as Luke asked kindly. He thought him about the force, showed him holovids of him when he was young, of his mother. Of the two together. It was comfortable. And he was almost happy.

But Luke had passed puberty with surprising ease. And after his body went though that, he wanted something more. He wanted someone to hold at night, someone to be with, to talk to and to take care of and have take care of him.

And then Vader realized what was going on. And being the overprotective, attempt at a father figure he was, he decided to do something about it.

"Vader!" The sith lord jumped as he heard his son's voice echo down the hall of the imperial cruiser, pausing him his march towards the conference chamber to turn and acknowledge his son.

Usually the blond was so warm and compassionate it reminded him of Padame, but in moments like this he saw himself in him. The fire of those blue eyes. It made him feel as though he could so easily turn him to the dark side. But the light in him shone so bright, he was hesitant to snuff it. "I have told you to call me Father."

Luke ignored him and crossed his arms over his chest. "Care to tell me why Luitenent Angu just asked me 'is that a light saber in your pants or are you just happy to see me'?"

Vader internally groaned. He knew he shouldn't have picked that woman. She was rather forward and knew nothing about subtlety. "Lieutenant Angu is a very nice young woman about your age. You two seem to get along so-"

"Woah woah, wait!" Luke ran a hand through his messy hair. Vader had been insisting he needed a haircut. "You've been telling people to flirt with me? Women no less?" He groaned and hurried his face in his hands.

"What is the matter with women?" The sith asked and Luke shot him a glare. "Are you gay?" He got a nod in reply. There was a split second Luke looked concerned that his father wouldn't accept him when he remained quiet for a moment. "What about Ensign Deeger?"

Luke through his hands in the air with a groan of pure annoyance. "I don't want to date anyone on this ship!" He proclaimed and turned on heel to march away.

"There are far more people on the death star." Vader pointed out and heard Luke sigh loudly down the hall.

He would find someone good for his son if he had to search the galaxy to do it.
