Padme mentions in passing that she had a crush on Obi-Wan during the events of The Phantom Menace. Obviously nothing came of it--everyone had much higher priorities at the time, and even at that age she knew it was a bad idea to chase after a twenty-something Jedi. DadVader is a total troll and he may claim he's doing it for Leia, but he's having way too much fun to stop, no matter how often or how his kids beg, demand, or scheme to keep him away from Han. Padme and/or Obi-Wan existence and/or appearances entirely optional.

Some ideas:

My, how long it took Leia to catch on, because Han doesn't like to admit things that put him in a less than ideal light... It does, of course, take Luke longer yet to figure it out.

Does Luke try to take father-son field trips to keep his dad away? Sure, no prob, Anakin's already booby-trapped the house.

Does Leia write increasingly long list of Things Dad Must Not Do? Sure, but Anakin's more creative than she gave him credit for.

Does Han try to connect with scaryDadVader? Oh, ho, ho, Anakin's sure hopes he'll try.

In this version Anakin is shocked to realize he loves Obi-Wan more and if he choose Padme he'll lose them both. Palpatine REALLY misjudged the situation which doesn't turn out so well for him. Awkwardness ensues when Padme and Obi-Wan find out the truth. More so when the council thinks Anakin needs to strength his bond to Obi-Wan to prevent more temptation from the darkside.

So the 'who do you love more' prompt caused me to read the wiki's summary of the ROTS novel, and there's some very interesting wording. Particularly this,

"the length to which Palpatine is willing to go for his future apprentice; it is clear that he would, in fact, have given Anakin the entire Corellian sector had he so desired."

and this,

"Mace sensed that Sidious did not fear Anakin at all, and that the Sith Lord would make no move to defend himself. Mace concluded that this was the shatterpoint of the Sith .... Anakin Skywalker indeed was the shatterpoint of Darth Sidious."

So I'd like a fic where Palpatine loves Anakin completely, and showcasing how that might have changed things. Like Padme doesn't die, for one thing.

Han and Leia often had difficulties in their marriage, not necessarily divorce-inducing problems, but they often clashed over things and had to sort it out.

Luke would often take Ben away whenever there were arguments, and ended up having a lot of time with him aside from his training. Ben ended up seeing Luke as basically his third parent, and found out one day that Han and Luke were in love too but were restraining themselves. He admires his uncle for his power, too, even if he never turned to the dark side.

Either: When Ben turns he kidnaps Luke before he can run and keeps him with him on his ship and calls him father or dad or whatever. He also maybe attempts to capture Han and Leia multiple times to force Han and Luke to get together and make it 'official' that Luke is his parent too.

Or: Ben keeps Han alive, finds Luke first and then imprisons the two together, convinced that if the pair had got together Leia might have joined the dark side with him, or the three would finally be the trio parents he thinks they're meant to be, or whatever madness he believes.

Please no incest between Luke and Leia.

Summary: Ben always believed that Luke was his third parent, and he feels this is only confirmed on the day he realises his uncle and father are in love. He takes matters into his own hands to make this bond real.
